FIAP Awards And International Exhibitions

Over the years, I have entered a few photographic competitions and exhibitions, I am not someone who enters lots of competitions each year, but along with a few friends, I do enter some competitions. This page is to showcase some of the images that have done well for me over the years.

It is always a great feeling when an image gets accepted into an exhibition. On the odd occasion where I have been fortunate enough to win an award, medal or prize.

FIAP Photographic Exhibitions

A recent count up has shown that I have had entered around 80 external exhibitions, that were affiliated to the FIAP international salons which are held in many different countries. Of these images, I am really pleased to have had over 400 images accepted into these International exhibitions.

The requirement to hold the "AFIAP" qualification is to achieve an acceptance of 40 images (of which 4 have to be prints) into a minimum of 15 different exhibitions in 8 or more countries. The minimum number of separate images is 15. I have met all of the minimum requirements, and have registered to hold the AFIAP registration. I was awarded my AFIAP in June 2016.

The next level is the EFIAP which follows a simular format, but requires 250 international acceptances. As of November 2016, I have just over 400 acceptances and have met all the qualification criteria for the EFIAP. As the EFIAP is only awarded once per year, I am in the process of submitting my EFIAP application and am hopeful it will be approved by June 2017.

The number of images that I have had accepted into FIAP affiliated exhibitions is over 400, and of these, i am fortunate to have had fourteen images that have been awarded either a medal, commended, or ribbons, these are shown below.

Midland Salon - 2016 - Midland Counties Photographic Federation Medal Northern Home Counties - 2014 - FIAP Ribbon Smethwick International Exhibition of Photography - 2014 PSA ribbon During 2014/15, this image got a further two honourable mentions including Bristo, and Scottish International. 	Burnt Tip Orchid Pair (This image is digitally enhanced and as such it can only be entered into "open" or "manipulated" sections as it does not qualify under the nature rules as a nature image) Bristol Salon - 2015 - FIAP Silver in the Open section. This is my first image to be awarded a medal in a "non Nature" section. 15+ Other Acceptances

	European Brown Bear Smethwick International Exhibition of Photography - 2014 - PSA Gold medal This image was also awarded the best nature print in exhibition. 	King Penguin In White (This image is digitally enhanced and as such it can only be entered into "open" or "manipulated" sections as it does not qualify under the nature rules as a nature image) German International Photocup - 2014 - Honourable Mention 20+ Other Acceptances.

	Kingfisher Smethwick International Exhibition of Photography - 2011 Selectors medal. This was one of six of my images that was accepted into Smethwick's 2011 international exhibition, and was also my first medal in an international exhibition.
