Yellow Flag Iris |
Iris are a common flower in many gardens, and are also common in the wild. One of the common wild species is the Yellow Flag Iris which is often found at the waters edge across Britian and much of Europe. I photographed Yellow Flag Iris in Norfolk while looking for Swallowtail butterflies, obviously hoping that a swallowtail would land on a flag iris and sit nicely for its photo to be taken. but it didn't happen. Swallowtails are still on my target list, and I hope eventually to get the opportunity to photograph this view, but I guess this is unlikely unless I happen to get lucky. |
