The Fields Around Us |
At first glance many fields are large open empty spaces, but if you sit quietly and sooner or later quite a lot of wildlife will be seen. Indeed the many field and other farmland of Britain are very important to a large number of our species of wildlife. With set a side land becoming increasingly common and important, the fields, hedgerows and nearby areas are becoming increasingly important habitat for many species. A few examples of these are shown below, all of these species have been seen either in or from my garden or in the set a side farmland behind. But they have been taken at a variety of different places. |
