| Red Grouse |
| The Red Grouse is a moorland bird with a large rage across Northern England, parts of Wales, and Scotland and Northern Europe. It has a distinctive colour which is the same all year around (it doesn't change colour in winter unlike Ptarmigan and Willow Grouse which turn white). A common site when out walking on the moors, indeed many moors are called "Grouse Moors" due to the fact that it has been breed for shooting. Images from Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Speyside. |
